My research interests include high performance sustainable construction materials with the focus on alkali-activated and geopolymer materials, ultra-low clinker cements, underwater concrete and 3D printing, new and future supplementary cementitious materials, bio-aggregate concrete, lightweight foam insulation concrete, fiber-reinforcement composites. To date, I have served as PI of sponsored research projects over > $780K mainly in capacity of PI. I have published > 60 peer-reviewed journal articles and conference proceedings. As of June 2025, I have Google Scholar H-index: 38. I teach course in the concrete technology and structural design in civil engineering.
